Our Story

The company  STR proMICE  was established on the 01st January 2016 as a separate entity from STR Destination Handling which was founded 35 years ago. STR proMICE concentrates its sales and marketing activities on the MICE segment within the German speaking countries, while STR Destination Handling remains specialized on the leisure segment.  

This enables both companies to provide their clients with a specialized portfolio of DMCs and corresponds to the clients’ expectations regarding product, service and know-how.

The STR proMICE team boasts over 10 years of experience in the German speaking MICE market (meetings, incentives, conferences and events). Our clients are event planners from incentive and event agencies as well as communication agencies. The corporate MICE planner as a client will be playing a vital role in our sales strategy in the years to come.

Not only are we the sales & marketing office for our partner DMCs but we see ourselves as an intermediary between the DMC and the client, representing both parties’ interest and striving for an open and honest partnership based on mutual confidence. We manage this position in a way that allows us to exceed the expectations of all parties involved.

How we go about it…

We qualify and identify the clients’ needs and expectations together with our partner(s), to submit a program/product proposal that is based on the clients’ individual needs and requirements.

To reach this target…

We listen, we ask questions, we consult and whenever we feel that a request can or should not be realized (this might be due to cultural, economic or other reasons), we discuss this with our partner DMC and try to offer the client an alternative. It is our aim to guarantee the highest level of quality in all of our destinations: this is definitely the best way to ensure that your program will be successful.
