Destination Management Company (DMC) Mauritius & La Réunion
Incoming Agency Connections
Mauritius conjures up images of a beautiful tropical paradise - and it really is one of the most beautiful places on earth! Endless white sandy beaches bordering on emerald green lush jungle contrast with vibrant towns and luxurious resorts for the most discerning guests - Mauritius is a dream come true for incentives! The pleasant climate, the small time difference and the vast choice of hotels and resorts make it the perfect long-haul destination.
Our Mauritian DMC partner Connections Tourism Management Ltd (CTML) was founded as an independent incoming agency / destination management company in 1996 by Karl Braunecker, a renowned and highly experienced tourism professional. Connections Réunion opened in 2002 and offers wonderful combinations of the two distinctly different islands. Customers can use state-of-the-art technology to make their bookings with the B2B online booking platform Illusion, including immediate booking confirmations for hotels, transfers, excursions and cruises. Connections boasts a dedicated MICE department to handle incentives and events, conferences, and special interest.
The management of the incoming agency Connections believes in a sustainable tourism policy and supports the "Mauritius Wildlife Foundation" as well as "Reef Mauritius", the most important organisations in Mauritius. The most important CSR project supports underprivileged children by giving them access to schooling.
The weather in Port Louis
Mauritius and La Réunion
Being the cultural melting pot that Mauritius is, it is home to many different religions. The influences from Africa, Asia and Europe are omnipresent, proving that the different cultures coexist peacefully. Our partner DMC Connections offers loads of ideas for themed dinners, starting from a Creole or Indian evening to a wonderfully organised party on the beach! Don't miss out on the delicious Creole food, the ultimate example of how everything melts together to form something wonderful! Be sure to visit the capital Port Louis, especially if you're into stamp collecting as you might want to take a look at one of the most famous stamps, the Blue Penny in the museum. If you're interested in the history of Mauritius as the world's leading sugar supplier, make sure to include a visit to an old sugar cane plantation or a mill to learn a lot about the island's role as a rum producer. You can even create your very own rum bottle! If you're not so much into alcoholic beverages, why not celebrate a fabulous High Tea instead? Fans of watersport can go sailing, sea-karting and kayaking or explore the island in a helicopter or by car.
The islands Mauritius and La Réunion are only a one hour flight apart, but they could not be any more different: the volcanic island Réunion offers stunning mountain ranges and beautiful coastlines. Flying in a helicopter, paddling in a see-through kayak, kitesurfing and a walk in the stunning Lava tubes are breath-taking experiences Connections can organise for your group. La Réunion is perfect for hiking and definitely a recommendation for a combination with Mauritius!
